Conclusions:
An auto-ignition temperature value of 222°C at 960.8 to 962.8 hPa was determined for the substance in a reliable study conducted according to an appropriate test protocol and in compliance with GLP.

Description of key information

Auto-ignition temperature: 222°C at 960.8 to 962.6 hPa (EU Method A.15)

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Autoflammability / Self-ignition temperature at 101 325 Pa:
222 °C

Additional information

An auto-ignition temperature value of 222°C at 960.8 - 962.6 hPa was determined for the submission substance in a reliable study conducted according to EU Method A.15 (DIN EN 14522 Method S) and in compliance with a known quality system (ISO 9001:2008). The result is considered as reliable and suitable for key study. The key study is supported by another measured auto-ignition temperature value of 229°C at 952-972 hPa using a relevant test method.

Auto-ignition temperature values of 230°C at 1013 hPa (Wacker 2007), 225°C at 1013 hPa (Evonik 2007) and 235°C at 1013 hPa (Reuther 1953) were reported for the substance in secondary literature sources. The original references were not available for review and no further information is available.
