ln the acute immobilization test with Daphnia magna (STRAUS) the effects of the limit

concentration 100 mg/L of the test item Gro 266 (batch number: Gro-RN-9963-191) were

determined according to OECD 202 (2004). The limit test was conducted under static conditions

over a period of 48 hours from 2009-09-16 to 2009-09-18 at Dr. U. Noack-Laboratorien,

Käthe-Paulus-Str. 1, D-31 157 Sarstedt, Germany.

20 test organisms were exposed to the limit concentration and the control. The limit

concentration and the control were analysed via HPLC in the fresh media (0 hours) and in the

old media (48 hours). Details of the analytical method are given in part 9. The recoveries of the

test item in the limit concentration were 102 % of the nominal value in the fresh media at test

start (0 hours) and 100 % of the nominal value in the old media at test end (48 hours). All effect

values given are based on the nominal test item concentration (Table 1). Water quality

parameters (pH-value and dissolved oxygen concentration), measured at 0 and 48 hours, were

determined to be within the acceptable limits. The validity criteria of the test guideline were

fulfilled.

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Validity criteria fulfilled:
yes
Conclusions:
At the limit concentration of 100 mg/L of the test item Gro 266, corresponding to a mean
measured concentration of 101 mg/L, no effect was observed.
