Materials and methods

Endpoint addressed:
other: respiratory and dermal exposure
Principles of method if other than guideline:
• Air sampling and detection methods are given
• Patch samples were used for the dermal exposure estimation.
• Analysis was done using GC/MS
GLP compliance:
no

Test material

Constituent 1
Details on test material:
To estimate the occupational exposure to TBBA via air sampling at four different occupational setting where FR-containing materials were used or processed and at two types of nonindustrial occupational settings, air sampling was performed. in orderto asses dermal exposure, Patch samples were used.
the chemicals were analyzed using GC/MS

Results and discussion

Results:
• Highest TBBA level was found in electronics dismantling facilities. In the personal samples more than in the stationary air samples.
• In the patch samples measurements, TBBA was found only in electronics dismantling facilities samples

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Conclusions:
• TBBA was considered site-specific in terms of worker’s exposure
• Dermal exposure should be further investigated
