Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

In accordance with column 2 of REACH Annex IX, degradation simulation testing in soil does not need to be conducted: The substance is used exclusively in manufacture of polymers/elastomers, where it is completely reacted into these products; and as a result will have no direct or indirect exposures to the soil environment.Wastewater exposures to the substance occurs only with industrial sewage treatment works associated with the manufacture site. According to EU regulations, wastewater biosolids from the industrial STP are not applied to soil. The biodegradation of this UVCB with representative polyols is predicted by OASIS (IUCLIDsection5.6). Predicted metabolites have Log Kow values similar or less than their corresponding parent compounds. Since the ecotoxicity and bioaccumulation potential of these polyols and their metabolites correlate with their Log Kow, the metabolites are not expected to be more toxic or more bioaccumulative than their parent compounds. Additional tests are not required for ecological risk assessment, or PBT assessment, of the UVCB substance and its associated components and degradation products.
