Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

Concerning transport and distribution in the environment of 2 -dimethylaminoethanol no experimental data are available. Regarding the substance specific soil adsorption coefficient and Henry´s Law Constant scientifically accepted calculation methods (US-EPA computer program EPIWIN) were used (Chemservice S.A., 2010, revised 2019). KOCWINv2.00 utilizes two different models to calculate the soil adsorption coefficient: MCI Estimation Method and the traditional method. The MCI method is taken more seriously into account. Therefore, this result (Koc = 1.224) is taken as key value for the chemical safety assessment. HENRYWINv3.20 also uses two different models to predict the Henry´s Law constant for the desired chemical. For 2 -dimethylaminoethanol the Group Method as well as the Bond Method give the same value of 0.00018 Pa m³/mol at 25 °C. No further information regarding transport and distribution are required under REACH.
