Description of key information

Experimental boiling point of the key study at 99.7 kPa: greater than 450°C
Experimental boiling point of the supporting study: greater than 300°C

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

Two studies were performed to determined the boiling point of the test item. Both of these studies were performed in accordance with the standard guidelines (OECD Guideline 103 :Boiling Point) and GLP. No deviation of the guidelines was observed during the test. The two studies were performed after an interval of 3 years so the choice of the key and supporting study can't be based only on the age of the study.

The key study was performed to a range of temperature of 20 to 450°C, so the behavior of the test item was known on a more large range of temperature than in the supporting study. Moreover, the result of the supporting study is consistent with the result of the key study.
