In accordance with Column 2 of REACH Annex VIII, the adsorption/desorption screening study (section 9.3.1) does not need to be conducted if the substance and its relevant degradation products decompose rapidly. Based on the results of the biodegradability study, the substance is considered to meet this criteria and as such the registrant proposes to omit this study. In addition the screening method cannot be conducted because the HPLC method is not technically feasible for organotin substances.

In accordance with Column 2 of REACH Annex VIII and IX, the adsorption/desorption screening study (section 9.3.1) and further infrormation on adsorption/desorption (section 9.3.3), respectively, do not need to be conducted if the substance and its relevant degradation products decompose rapidly.
