Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

The substance in an aqueous solution (35 -38 wt%) has a relative density of 1.3. When in solid form (90% purity) the substance has a bulk density of ca 600 g/l.

A publish study show density for crystal Tetrasodium EDTA (CAS# 64 -02-8) is 1.67g/cm3. Since Tetrasodium ETDA and Pentasodium DTPA are pretty close in structure, this number can be used to estimate for the density of pentasodium DTPA.

For the purposes of registration it is concluded that bulk density of Pentasodium DTPA 90% purity is ca 600g/l. In crystal form, its density is estimated around 1.67g/cm3
