Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Guideline:
OECD Guideline 103 (Boiling point/boiling range)
Qualifier:

Boiling pt.:

Atm. press.:
1 009 hPa
Decomp. temp.:
> 371

The DSC curve shows two large endothermic effects, of which one was attributed to melting (at ca 50 °C) and the other one was assigned as the earliest begin of boiling/decomposition. The onset temperarure of this effect was determined as 371°C. Beginning with 371 °C the test item shows a boiling point and/or thermal decomposition with evaporation of the decomposition components. The DSC measurements were confirmed by means of TGA measurements (no significant weight loss before the mentioned boiling / decomposition temperature).

Description of key information

> 371 °C at 1009 hPa (could be decomposition) (OECD 103, DSC)

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Boiling point at 101 325 Pa:
371 °C

Additional information

The boiling behaviour of the substance was determined by Differential Scanning Calorimetry according to OECD Guideline 103. Based on the shape of the DSC curve it was concluded that from 371 °C onwards the substance boils and/or thermally decomposes with evaporation of decomposition components. The onset temperature of the endothermic effect, i.e. 371 °C will be used as key value for chemical sefatey assessment.
