Description of key information

In accordance with column 2 of REACH Annex X, as LAS TEA is not genotoxic and as no hyperplasia and/or pre-neoplastic lesions were observed in the repeated dose studies, a carcinogenicity study is not necessary.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Justification for classification or non-classification

Based on the negative results in the in vitro and in vivo genotoxicity studies, and the absence of hyperplasia and/or pre-neoplastic lesions in the repeated dose studies, LAS TEA is considered to be non-carcinogenic; therefore classification according to EC Regulation 1272/2008 is not warranted.
