Description of key information

There are no carcinogenicity data for the substance. There was no evidence of mutagenicity in either in vitro or in vivo genotoxicity studies with the substance and there were no indications of a potential concern for carcinogenicity (for example pre-neoplastic and hyperplasic lesions) from repeated dose toxicity studies with the substance.

In addition, no structurally related analogues were identified for 2,2-bis(chloromethyl)trimethylene bis(bis(2-chloroethyl)phosphate) which would lead to a concern for carcinogenicity.
