Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

pKa at 25°C = 12.37 (Ballinger 1958); 12.4 (SRC 2010); 12.8 (Dyatkin 1965)
No dissociation is anticipated under environmental pH conditions.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

pKa at 20°C:
12.5

Additional information

A published experimental study, relating to equilibrium constant determination by conductivity, was provided and considered as reliable, as quite similar to the OECD standard.

Two supporting experimental data were found in the literature, and despite not assignable, were fully consistent.

The endpoint key value is the arithmetic mean of the three above values, at the same temperature of 25°C.
