Conclusions:
The auto-ignition temperature of the test substance was determined to be 252°C ± 5°C.
Executive summary:

The Auto-Ignition temperature has been determined according to EU Method A.15 (Auto-Ignition Temperature (Liquids and Gases)).

The Auto-Ignition temperature measured for the substance was 252°C ± 5°C. The ignition delay observed at this temperature was 5 seconds, and the maximum temperature increase at the middle of the flask was 46°C.

Description of key information

No data is available for the substance itself. The value has been read across from a structurally similar substance (C10 alkyl chain with CAS no. 7396-58-9). The auto ignition temperature of the structurally similar substance has been measured to be 252 °C. The conclusion is that the substance registered (Amines, di-C16-18 alkylmethyl) has a similar auto ignition temperature of 252 °C.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Autoflammability / Self-ignition temperature at 101 325 Pa:
252 °C
