First-aid measures

General advice :
Have the product container, label or Material Safety Data Sheet with you
when calling the Syngenta emergency number, a poison control center or
physician, or going for treatment.

Inhalation :
Move the victim to fresh air. If breathing is irregular or stopped, administer artificial respiration.
Keep patient warm and at rest. Call a physician or poison control centre immediately.

Skin contact :
Take off all contaminated clothing immediately. Wash off immediately with plenty of water.
If skin irritation persists, call a physician. Wash contaminated clothing before re-use.

Eye contact :
Rinse immediately with plenty of water, also under the eyelids, for at least 15 minutes.
Remove contact lenses. Immediate medical attention is required.

Ingestion :
If swallowed, seek medical advice immediately and show this container or
label. Do NOT induce vomiting.

Most important symptoms and effects, both acute and delayed
Symptoms :
No information available.

Indication of any immediate medical attention and special treatment needed
Medical advice :
There is no specific antidote available. Treat symptomatically.

Fire-fighting measures

Extinguishing media - small fires
Use water spray, alcohol-resistant foam, dry chemical or carbon dioxide.

Extinguishing media - large fires
Alcohol-resistant foam or water spray. Do not use a solid water stream as it may scatter and spread fire.

Special hazards arising from the substance:
As the product contains combustible organic components, fire will produce dense black smoke containing hazardous products of combustion. Exposure to decomposition products may be a hazard to health.

Advice for firefighters:
Wear full protective clothing and self-contained breathing apparatus.
Do not allow run-off from fire fighting to enter drains or water courses.
Cool closed containers exposed to fire with water spray.

Accidental release measures

Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures:
Avoid dust formation.

Environmental precautions:
Do not flush into surface water or sanitary sewer system.

Methods and materials for containment and cleaning up:
Contain spillage, pick up with an electrically protected vacuum cleaner or by wet-brushing and transfer to a container for disposal according to local regulations.
Do not create a powder cloud by using a brush or compressed air.
Clean contaminated surface thoroughly.
If the product contaminates rivers and lakes or drains inform respective authorities

Handling and storage

This substance is handled under Strictly Controlled Conditions in accordance with Regulation (EC) No. 1907/2006, Article 18(4), for Transported Isolated Intermediates. Documentation to support safe handling arrangements including the selection of engineering, administrative and personal protective equipment controls is available at each manufacturing site. Written confirmation of the use of Strictly Controlled Conditions has been received from Downstream Users of the Registrant’s intermediate.

Suggested Risk Management Measures based on the CEFIC RMM Library are as follows:

Process Control
(W7.01) Closed dosing, transfer, sampling and application system including connectors, or (W7.03) Ventilated full enclosure around dosing, transfer, sampling and application system, or (W15.01) Ventilated process enclosures
(W7.04) Capture / filtering or return of air released from receiving volumes, vacuum pumps

Reduction and cleaning of air emissions
(E12.01) Wet scrubber - for dusts, or (E12.03-06) Air filtration, or (E12.10-11) Dust collection
(E14.02) Disposal - Hazardous Waste Incineration

Reduction and cleaning of waste water
(E13.24) Biological treatment - Sludge treatment, with (E14.02) Disposal - Hazardous Waste Incineration

Reduction of waste, disposal of waste
(C14.07) Disposal - This material and its container must be disposed of as hazardous waste.
