Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

No experimental studies investigating the phototransformation in air of diethyleneglycol diformate (CAS 120570-77-6) are available. Results from AOPWIN v1.92 indicate that diethyleneglycol diformate is susceptible to indirect photodegradation in air (Müller, 2011). The estimated half-life for the reaction with OH-radicals is 21.765 h (24 h day; OH-concentration: 0.5E+06 OH/cm³). Moreover, diethyleneglycol diformate is not expected to be present in the atmosphere in high concentrations based on the and low volatilisation potential from water indicated by a Henry’s Law Constant of < 1 Pa m³/mole and indicated by a vapour pressure of 14.18 Pa.
