Results

The test item was an off white solid. Whilst heating the test item, no relevant exothermic reaction of the sample was observed. The temperature curve is shown in attached background material. On completion of the test, the cube was full of a porous, charred, black solid which had expanded to overflow the cube, leaving additional residue on the base of the cube stand.

Conclusions:
HEBMP-xNa has been determined not to have a relative self-ignition temperature below 400°C using a relevant test method and in compliance with GLP. The result is considered to be reliable.

Test System

Testing was conducted using a procedure designed to be compatible with Method A16 Relative Self-Ignition Temperature for Solids of Commission Regulation (EC) No 440/2008 of 30 May 2008.

The relative self-ignition temperature of the salt, HEBMP-xNa was attempted in accordance with relevant test method and in compliance with GLP. Under the conditions of the study, no relative self-ignition below 400˚C was observed. The result is considered to be reliable and is read-across to HEBMP-H.
