Description of key information

In accordance with point 9.1, Column 2, Annex IX of Regulation (EC) No. 1907/2006, long-term toxicity testing shall be proposed by the registrant if the Chemical Safety Assessment indicates the need to investigate further the effects on aquatic organisms. The Chemical Safety Assessment does not indicate the need for further investigation. Furthermore, the available short term Daphnia magna toxicity study did not indicate any cause for concern, since levels acutely toxic to daphnids cannot be reach as a result of the solubility of the substance in water. Testing has therefore been omitted on this basis.
