Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Significant bioaccumulation not expected.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The substance is not expected to bioaccumulate (Institute of Ecotoxicology, 1999), according to MITI Guideline. At test concentrations 1.0 mg/L and 0.1 mg/L the BCF values were 0 - 3 and 0 - 19, respectively. However, the results has to be taken with caution, as due to the use of the solvent, the concentrations in the water by far exceed the limit of water solubility (i.e. 4.5 ng/L). Therefore, for the overall assessment of the bioaccumulation behaviour, additional information such as the poor water solubility or the absence of bioavailability as observed in a toxicokinetic study with rats after both dermal and oral administration has to be taken into account.
