Additional information

Short-term toxicity to fish

Brachydanio rerio was exposed under static conditions for 96 h to a saturated solution of the substance (initial concentration 100 mg/L). No toxic effect was observed (Scheerbaum, 2002a).

Short-term toxicity to aquatic invertebrates

Dapnia Magna was exposed under static conditions for 48h to a saturated solution of the substance (initial concentration 100 mg/L). No toxic effect was observed (Noack, 2002).

Toxicity to aquatic algae and cyanobacteria

Desmodesmus subspicatus was exposed under static conditions for 72h to a saturated solution of the substance (initial concentration 100 mg/L). No toxic effect was observed (Scheerbaum, 2002b).

Toxicity to microoganisms

The substance showed 2.3 % respiration inhibition of activated sludge at the highest test item concentration of 10000 mg/L. An EC10 and an EC50 of >10000 mg/l were obtained in this test. The effect value relates to nominal concentration, since no analytical monitoring was performed (Caspers, 2002).
