Temperature is expressed in absolute temperature T(K). The relationship
between the log t of ignition delay time, t (sec), at T(K) and the
reciprocal 1/T of the absolute temperature is plotted on a graph. The
temperature at the time of t=4(sec) is obtained from the straight line
connecting the measurement points, and this temperature is recorded as
the ignition temperature (°C).
The self-ignition temperature of the substance has been determined to be 300°C in accordance with test method ASTM E 659-78
The self-ignition temperature was determined by the Research Institute
for Safety Engineering, Japan (1998). The study was not conducted under
GLP but was considered to be reliable.
The ignition temperature was found to be 300°C.
