Description of key information

The 21d-EC50 for adult mortality is 1.4 mg/L in an OECD guideline 211 test in natural river water with Daphnia magna under GLP (reliability 1) is used as a worst-case value for acute aquatic toxicity towards Daphnia.

Additional information

The acute toxicity of N-[(9Z)-octadec-9-en-1-yl]propane-1,3-diaminium di[(9Z)-octadec-9-enoate] towards Daphnia magna was investigated according to OECD guideline 202 under GLP. Daphnids were exposed to WAFs of 0.05, 0.1, 0.25, 0.5, 1, 2.5 and 5 mg/L and were observed for 48 hours. Nevertheless, since the preparation of stock solution was not appropriate (dilution and filtration of WAF), the study was disregarded.

Therefore, the 21-EC50 for adult mortality of 1.4 mg/L from a OECD 211 test in river water is used instead.
