Study scientifically unjustified: based on REACH regulation annex VII column 2 (specific rules for adaptation from column 1) the study need not be conducted if the substance is incapable of reacting exothermically with combustible materials on the basis of the chemical structure.

Justification for classification or non-classification

Malachite Green Acetate (MGA) does not meet the criteria to be considered as an oxidizing substance.

According to CLP regulation (EC1272/2008) MGA has to be classified as a NON oxidizing.
