Additional information

Two aerobic degradation tests for the group of tocopherols and tocopheryl acetates available: One tests was performed with DL-alpha-tocopherol (CAS: 10191-41-0) a stereo according to OECD 301 F protocols and GLP. The test reveals a result of 70 -80% with an extended exposure up to 67d (Givaudan Suisse SA,2011).

A degradation test is further available for DL-alpha-tocopheryl acetate (CAS: 7695-91-2). In an OECD 301C test run over 39days, the biodegradation recorded was 30-40% (BASF,1988b).
