In accordance with column 2 of REACH Regulation (EC) No. 1907/2006, Annex VII, section 9.2.1.1, studies on biodegradation does not need to be conducted as cesium sulphate is an inorganic compound. This applies for the endpoints "biodegradation in water: screening tests", "biodegradation in water and sediment: simulation tests" and "biodegradation in soil".

In addition, in accordance with column 2 of REACH Regulation (EC) No.1907/2006, Annex IX ,section 9.2.1.2, 9.2.1.4 tests on "biodegradation in water and sediment" do not need to be conducted as cesium sulphate has a low log Pow. Neither direct nor indirect exposure is expected.

In addition, in accordance with column 2 of REACH Regulation (EC) No. 1907/2006, Annex IX, section 9.2.1.3, the study "biodegradation in soil" does not need to be conducted as cesium sulphate has a low log Pow. Also, there is neither direct nor indirect exposure of the soil compartment expected.
