The calibration factorΦbwas determined to be 1.0311 for double distilled water (Table1). The data are part of Harlan Laboratories' instruments files and a copy is presented in the raw data of the present study.
Table 2 shows the individual measurements for the surface tension of the aqueous test item solution. From these, the mean and the corrected value for the given solution were calculated and are also shown in Table 2.
The tabulated values represent rounded results obtained from calculation using the exact raw data.

- Conclusions:
- The surface tension of Acid Yellow RN 2903 in water (at a concentration of about 1 g/L) was determined to be 63.1 mN/m at 19.6 °C.
Based on the criteria as outlined in the EEC Guideline and the results of this study, Acid Yellow RN 2903 has to be considered as a not surface active substance. - Executive summary:
