Description of key information

No experimental data on bioaccumulation are available. The constituents of UVCB are surfactants (acido-basic and oxido-reductive reactions of the terminalOH may occured). Hence, its adsorption and bioaccumulation potential cannot be predicted by their octanol-water partitioning. In addition, the only QSAR-method (BCFWIN) is not reliable for substances with long alkyl chains.

It can be expected that the substance has a moderate to high bioaccumlation potential. Testing of single constituents or a realistic worst case representative of the constituents would be necessary to determine the actual bioaccumulation potential.

However, due to its ready biodegradability the notified chemical is unlikely to bioaccumulate
