Additional information

The test substance, p-tert-1 -(2,3 -epoxy)propyl ether has a hydrolysis half-life of approximately 17 days at pH 7 and 25 C. based upon the outcome of an O.E.C.D. test guideline 111 study. The test substance is not readily biodegradable with a maximum biodegradation of 1.1% at 28 days of contact in an O.E.C.D. test guideline 301D Closed-Bottle study. The experimentally determined Log Koc of 2.88 suggest that the test substance has a low to moderate potential to adsorb to sediment and soil. Based upon an experimentally determined Log Kow of approximately 3.6 and a QSAR estimated Bioconcentration Factor of 238 at 25 C the test substance is anticipated to have little or no potential to bioaccumulate in the aquatic environment.
