Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

According to the database, ChemSpider, the vapour pressure of quinine dihydrochloride is 1.19E-010 Pa at 25°C. The estimated values for the vapour pressure of quinine dihydrochloride calculated by using the Antoine method, Modified Grain method and Mackay method differ in a range of > 6.7E-021 Pa and < 1.1E-011 Pa. All used models are calculated for an ambient temperature of 25°C. From the model predictions, the Modified Grain method is selected to provide an appropriate value for the vapour pressure. The estimated value by the Modified Grain method is 3.47E-015 Pa. Nevertheless, the highest vapour pressure of quinine dihydrochloride is 1.59E-08 Pa, reflecting the most conservative value. Thus, we consider the predicted value to provide an approximation of the vapour pressure, since empirical data has not been observed.
