Description of key information

- The substance has a high flashpoint (144.5°C) and a boiling point of 301.5°C not indicating flammability.

- The substance was found not to be flammable in contact with water and air when tested according to EU Method A.12 (Flammability (Contact with Water) EU Method A.13 (Pyrophoric Properties of Solids and Liquids) in compliance with GLP.

- The substance is not considered to be a self-heating substance as the substance is a liquid and the surface of liquids is not large enough for reaction with air.

Additional information

Justification for classification or non-classification

Based on the flashpoint of 144.5°C and the boiling point of 301.5°C as well as its structural features the substance does not need to be classified as flammable, pyrophoric, self-heating, and emitting flammable gases when in contact with water according to the EU CLP (EC No. 1272/2008 and its amendments).
