Results and discussion

Pyrophoric solids
Test procedure:
ignition time on contact with air
Remarks:
Ignition on contact with air refers to either Pyrophoric solids or Pyrophoric liquids depending on physical state (migrated information).
Remarks on result:
no ignition on contact with air (not further specified)
Remarks:
corresponding to 'no' in migrated source record.
Pyrophoric liquids
Test procedure:
ignition time on contact with air
Remarks:
Ignition on contact with air refers to either Pyrophoric solids or Pyrophoric liquids depending on physical state (migrated information).
Remarks on result:
no ignition on contact with air (not further specified)
Remarks:
corresponding to 'no' in migrated source record.

Any other information on results incl. tables

The flame of a gas burner could ignite the test substance pile. The test substance burned with a blue/yellow flame and left a yellow/brown residue after contact with the flame. Once the ignition source was removed, the flame extinguished immediately and no propagation of combustion was observed.

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Interpretation of results:
non flammable
Remarks:
Migrated information
Conclusions:
Because no burning with flame or smouldering over 200 mm within 4 minutes was observed, Corsair Clear #34 is considered not highly flammable.
