Administrative data

First-aid measures

- General advice:

Wash off with plenty of water.

- Following inhalation:

Move the affected person away from the contaminated area and into the fresh air.

If irritation persists, consult a doctor.

- Following skin contact:

Remove by wiping.

Remove all contaminated clothing and footwear.

Rinse and then wash skin thoroughly with water and soap.

If case of redness or irritation, call a doctor

- Following eye contact:

Rinse immediately and thoroughly, pulling the eyelids well away from the eye (15 minutes minimum).

Always consult an eye specialist, even if there are no immediate symptoms.

Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do. Continue rinsing.

- Following ingestion:

Do NOT induce vomiting.

Immediately consult a doctor/medical service

- Most important symptoms and effects:

Causes serious eye damage.

Harmful if swallowed.

Fire-fighting measures

- Suitable extinguishing media:

Water spray. Powder. Foam.

- Unsuitable extinguishing media:

Carbon dioxide (CO2). high volume water jet. (Risk of formation of ignited dust suspension).

- Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture:

Fire hazard:       Not classified as flammable according to EC criteria, but may present a risk in the event of a fire.

Explosion hazard: Avoid raising powdered material due to explosion hazard.

Hazardous decomposition products in case of fire: Toxic fumes may be released. carbon oxides (CO and CO2). Various hydrocarbon fragments.

- Advice for fire fighter:

Firefighting instructions: Contain the extinguishing fluids by bunding. Do not dispose of fire-fighting water in the environment.

Protection of fire-fighters:Do not attempt to take action without suitable protective equipment. Self-contained breathing apparatus. Complete protective clothing.

General measures: Avoid dust formation.

- Protective equipment and emergency procedures:

Emergency procedures for non-emergency personnel: Do not breathe dust. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. In case of important spillage : Only qualified personnel equipped with suitable protective equipment  (see sthe field Exposure control / personal protection). may intervene.

Do not attempt to take action without suitable protective equipment (see sthe field Exposure control / personal protection).

Contain the spilled material by bunding. Do not discharge into drains or rivers.

Sweep up or vacuum up the product.

Wash non-recoverable remainder with large amounts of water.

Minimize generation of dust. Dispose of contaminated materials in accordance with current regulations.
