The test item is a liquid and, in line with ECHA Guidance on Information Requirements and Chemical Safety Assessment Chapter R.7a: Endpoint specific guidance (Version 6.0; July 2017), relevant properties for classification of the substance as flammable are the determined flash point and boiling point. Further experimental investigation of flammability is therefore not required.
Justification for classification or non-classification
Flammability of the test material has been investigated via determination of flashpoint (95.1 ± 1 °C using the Pensky-Martens closed cup method). Therefore, in accordance with CLP Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008, the substance is not classified as flammable.
