Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Results and discussion

Relative self-ignition temperature (solids)
Key result
Relative self-ignition temperature:
> 400 °C

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Conclusions:
In the course of this study self-ignition of Yellow LF 6911 did not occur up to the melting point.
Executive summary:

A certain amount of the test item under the assay is placed in an oven at room temperature.

During the increase of the oven temperature, the temperature inside the sample is measured and recorded.

For the purpose of this test, the temperature of the oven at which the sample temperature reaches 400 °C by self-heating

is called the self-ignition temperature.

In the course of this study self-ignition of Yellow LF 6911 did not occur up to the melting point (determined to be 269 °C (decomposition temperature).
