4.        RESULTS

4.1.       Accuracy checking

The calibration of the instrument was verified at 20.0°C with cyclohexane as a reference substance just before the determinations. The results were:

Cyclohexane: reference value: 0.779 g/ml                  instrument reading: 0.779 g/ml

The results are within the precision of the instrument (± 0.001 g/ml).

4.2.    Density determination

The results obtained with GR-88-0778 at 20.0°C were:

first sample              :          r= 0.948 g/ml

second sample       :          r= 0.948 g/ml

average (rounded off)       :          r= 0.948 g/ml         or       :          D420= 0.948

The estimated precision is           :          ± 0.001 g/ml.

4.3.    Deviations from guidelines, study plan and standard operating procedures

No deviations;

Conclusions:
The density of Nympheal has been determined to be :  density= 0.948 ± 0.001 g/ml at 20°C in the conditions of the test.
Executive summary:

The density of GR-88-0778 was determined according to the OECD guideline No. 109 (oscillating densitimeter method). The result can be expressed as follows:

                       r= 0.948±0.001 g/ml at 20°C

or                   D20/4= 0.948±0.001
