Sampling and analysis

Analytical monitoring:
yes
Details on sampling:
Analysis of the test media samples for Sn was conducted on fresh media at 0 hours and on
corresponding old media at 96 hours. Measured test concentrations were determined
from samples of control and test solution.

Test solutions

Vehicle:
no
Details on test solutions:
Due to the fact that the test substance is inorganic with a very low water solubility a WAF was prepared. The test substance was added into 6 L test water and stirred for 24 hours. Then, undissolved test substance was allowed to settle for about one hour. Dispersion was taken from the middle of the vessel and filtered at 0.45 µm.

Test organisms

Test organisms (species):
other: Chinese Rare Minnow (Gobiocypris rarus)
Details on test organisms:
Fish were bred in the lab.
Fish were acclimatized to the test conditions for more than 14 days prior the test.
