Results and discussion

Melting / freezing point
Atm. press.:
1 013 hPa
Decomposition:
yes
Remarks:
micro bubbles
Decomp. temp.:
> 295 °C
Remarks on result:
other: The test item shows no melting point, with no liquid phase at no point but a softening of the test item from 180 to 185 °C.

Any other information on results incl. tables

Calibration of the hot bar Prolabo: A clear and sharp dividing line is observed and a fluid phase is appearing. We observed a temperature lag between the theoretical melting and the measured one, but the order of magnitude is correct.

Sepisol Fast Red SN: With the increase temperature, the test item became bright and soft. At no point a liquid state appeared.

Dowfax solution: First, the water is removed with apparition of a white and dry product, then the test item turned brown around 270°C: no melting.
