Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The substance cannot be classified as ready biodegradable. The mean cumulative net percent CO2 evolved (percent biodegradation) from the aqueous test medium fortified with test substance at 10 mg C/L was -1.56% on day 28.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Biodegradation in water:
under test conditions no biodegradation observed

Additional information

Based on the CO2 analysis results from this study, the test substance cannot be characterized as ‘readily biodegradable’ according to the OECD 301B guideline (does not reach 60% or greater CO2 evolution within a 10 -day window of exceeding 10% biodegradation). The rapid degradation of the reference substance confirmed the presence of an acceptable microbial community and confirmed system integrity.
