The measurements in aluminium crucibles with a hole showed an endothermal effect (melting) in the temperature range of 7 0 - 1 1 5 ° C and a second endothermic effect (boiling) in the temperature range of 190 - 315 °C with onset temperatures between 251.8 °C and 273.8 °C.

The test item had a boiling range between 252 °C and 274 °C.

Conclusions:
The boiling range of the test item was determiend to be between 252 °C and 274 °C.
Executive summary:

A study was conducted according to OECD test guideline 103, Regulation (EC) No 440/2008 method A.2 to determine the boiling point of the test item using differential scanning calorimetry. The test item was weighed out into an aluminium crucible under an inert atmosphere (nitrogen). Two tests with about 12 -23 mg of the test item were performed. As reference crucible, an empty aluminium crucible was used. In a defined atmosphere (nitrogen) the test item is heated up from ambient temperature to the final temperature (150 and 500 °C, respectively) at a constant heating rate (10 K/min). The quantity of heat absorbed or released is measured and recorded. The measurements in aluminium crucibles with a hole showed an endothermal effect in the range of 190 - 315 °C with onset temperatures between 251.8 °C and 273.8 °C. Thus, the boiling range of the test item was determined to be between 252 °C and 274 °C.

Description of key information

The boiling range of the test item was determiend to be between 252 °C and 274 °C (reference 4.3 -1).
