4.4. Individual Results
4.4.1. Preliminary Visual Estimation of the Water Solubility
Different amounts of the test item were stirred in 100 ml, 250 ml and 500 ml distilled water, respectively and the mixtures were visually checked for any undissolved parts.
Table 1: Appearance of the test mixtures
Amount of test item in mg Total volume in ml Appearance of mixture

4.8 250 undissolved 1)
2.6 500 undissolved 1)
1): After adding the indicated amount of water, the solution was stirred for approx. 46 h.
From the preliminary visual experiments the solubility of the test item in water appeared to be below 5.2 mg/l (without correction for the purity).

1) For the evaluation of the water solubility, the measured concentration of experiment D (blank) was subtracted from the measured concentrations of the experiments A to C. The results were converted using the density of water at 20 °C (0.998 g/cm³).
The water solubility of the test item was determined to be: c (water, sat.) = 0.01 g/L
The water solubility is low and near the sensitivity of the method.
Applicant's summary and conclusion
- Conclusions:
- Interpretation of results (migrated information): slightly soluble (0.1-100 mg/L)
The water solubility of the test item was determined to be 0.01 g/L. - Executive summary:
The water solubility of the test substance was determined according to the OECD Test Guideline 105. The water solubility of the test item is 0.01 g/L.
