Conclusion on classification

The hazard assessment is based on the data currently available. Pursuant to ECHA decision on a compliance check TPE-D-2114576587-30-01/F new studies with the registered substance are ongoing but will be finalized after the deadline 29 Nov 2022. Please see attached document (chapter 13) explaining the delay of the final studies. The finalised studies will be reported in an updated dossier as soon as they become available, and the hazard assessment will be re-evaluated accordingly. For further details, please refer to the category concept document attached to the category object (linked under IUCLID section 0.2) showing an overview of the strategy for all substances within the glycol esters category.

Bioaccumulation: log Pow 4.31 -10.23 (QSAR calculation based on Meylan/Kowwin LogP Model version 1.1.4.).

Conclusion on Classification

Based on the data above, the substance is considered to be rapidly degradable in the environment. Algae were the most sensitive organisms in the available experimental data with an acute ErC50 (72h) of 0.243 mg/L and a chronic ErC10 (72 h) of 0.177 mg/L. Based on the available data the substance is classified and labelled as Acute Cat. 1 (H400) and Chronic Cat. 3 (H412) for environmental hazard according to the consolidated version of Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 (dated: 01.01.2017) and further amendments (ATPs).
