Results and discussion

Boiling point
Key result
Decomposition:
yes
Decomp. temp.:
259 °C
Remarks on result:
not determinable
Remarks:
Boiling point of the pure compound cannot be determined because the substance decomposes before boiling

Any other information on results incl. tables

A slight bubbling of the substance started at 255°C, followed by decomposition (change from transparent to yellow) at 259.9°C with further degradation at 260.9°C changing to orange.

Therefore, the boiling point observed belongs to the decomposition mixture and not the pure test substance.

First determination : 263.9°C (boiling point of decomposed mixture)

Second determination : 263.2°C (boiling point of decomposed mixture)

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Conclusions:
The boiling point of Tbodiol was measured according to DECO Guideline No. 103 (principle according to Siwoloboff). The result can be expressed as follows:

Boiling point of the pure compound cannot be determined because the substance decomposes before boiling, the decomposition temperature: ca. 259°C
Executive summary:

The boiling point of Tbodiol was measured according to GEeD Guideline No. 103 (principle according to Siwoloboff).-"'F-Me restllt-eafl-be expressed-as follows:
