First-aid measures

Emergency measure - Inhalation: In case of excessive inhalation, remove the person to fresh

air and keep at rest in a comfortable position. Obtain

medical advice immediately.

Emergency measure - Eyes: Immediately rinse the eyes with plenty of water. If any sign

of tissue damage or persistent irritation is apparent,

obtain medical advice immediately.

Emergency measure - Skin: Remove contaminated clothing. Wash off skin immediately with

plenty of water, using soap if available. If any sign of

tissue damage or persistent irritation is apparent, obtain

medical advice immediately.

Emergency measure - Ingestion: Rinse mouth with water. Give up to 0.2 litres of milk or

water to dring. Do not induce vomiting. Obtain medical

advice immediately.

Accidental release measures

Emergency measures in case of spillage: Remove all sources of ignition. Provide proper ventilation.

Absorb the liquid on a porous, inert material such as earth,

sand or vermiculite. If the spillage is large, contain by

use of sand or another inert material. Transfer to a

suitable container, and recover or dispose of material in

accordance with local regulations.

Handling and storage

Handling: Handle in accordance with good occupational hygiene and

safety practices in well ventilated areas. Avoid contact

with skin and eyes. Depending on working conditions this may

include wearing of eye protection and protective clothing

such as PVC gloves, suitable overalls and dust masks.

Storage: Store indoors at a constant temperature, if possible,

preferably around 15 C in dry, well ventilated conditions in

full, sealed, opaque containers. Keep away from sources of

ignition.

Packaging of the substance and or preparation: Paradisamide will be packaged in 200 litre stainless steel,

lacquer lined drums. All packaging must be UN approved.
