Registration Dossier

Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets

Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Administrative data

First-aid measures

Emergency measure - Inhalation: Remove from exposure site to fresh air and keep at rest.

Obtain medical advice.

Emergency measure - Eyes: Flush immediately with water for at least 15 minutes.

Contact physician if symptoms persist.

Emergency measure - Skin: Remove contaminated clothes. Wash thoroughly with water (and

soap). Contact physician if symptoms persist.

Emergency measure - Ingestion: Rinse mouth with water and obtain medical advice.

Fire-fighting measures

Recommended extinguishing agent: Carbon dioxide, dry chemical, foam. Do not use a direct

waterjet on burning material.

Product arising from burning: Carbon monoxide and unidentified organic compounds may be

formed during combustion.

Product determined by test: N

Protective equipment: Wear approved self-contained breathing apparatus and full

protective clothing when fighting fires involving chemicals.

Use water spray to cool containers exposed to fire.

Accidental release measures

Emergency measures in case of spillage: Personal precautions:

Avoid inhalation and contact with skin and eyes. A self-

contained breathing apparatus is recommended in case of a

major spill.

Spillage:

Remove ignition sources. Provide adequate ventilation. Avoid

excessive inhalation of vapours. Gross spillages should be

contained by use of sand or inert powder and disposed of

according to the local regulations.

Environmental precautions:

Keep away from drains, surface- and groundwater and soil.

Handling and storage

Handling: Apply according to good manufacturing and industrial hygiene

practices with proper ventilation. Do not drink, eat or

smoke while handling. Respect good personal hygiene.

Storage: Store in a cool, dry and ventilated area away from heat

sources and protected from light in tightly closed original

container. Avoid plastic and uncoated metal container. Keep

air contact to a minimum.

Packaging of the substance and or preparation: Preparation containing notification material will be shipped

in drums.

Stability and reactivity

Danger other than fire: None.

Chemical reaction with water: Presents no significant reactivity hazard, by itself or in

contact with water. Avoid contact with strong acids, alkali

or oxidizing agents.

Dust explosion: Not applicable; the substance is a liquid.

Dust explosion determined by test: N

Disposal considerations

Industry - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Recovery from spillage or accidental discharge is not

economically or technically feasible and such waste material

will be disposed of by landfill or incineration.

Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: No neutralization methods are known.

Industry - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: The substance will not be directly discharged into the

environment. Spillages of solutions mixed with inert

material (eg sand or soil) may be disposed of by landfill or

incineration in accordance with local regulations.

Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: The substance may be disposed of by incineration by burning

under controlled conditions at a licensed waste treatment

processor in accordance with local regulations. Stack gases

should be scrubbed, because noxious fumes (oxides of carbon)

could be formed.

Industry - Possibility of destruction - water purification: The substance will not normally be discharged directly to

the sewage system or the aqueous environment. However,

adverse effects on the sewerage treatment systems are not

anticipated.

Public at large - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Not possible.

Public at large - Possibility of neutralisation: Not possible.

Public at large - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Not possible.

Public at large - Possibility of destruction - incineration: Not possible.

Public at large - Possibility of destruction - water purification: Not applicable.
