Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Endpoint:
boiling point
Type of information:
experimental study
Adequacy of study:
key study
Reliability:
1 (reliable without restriction)
Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
guideline study
Qualifier:
according to guideline
Guideline:
other: OECD guideline 104
Deviations:
no
GLP compliance:
yes (incl. QA statement)
Type of method:
dynamic method
Remarks on result:
other: Due limited stability and a thermal change of the test substance a definite vapour pressure could not be determined.

Results:

Temperature (°C) Vapour pressure (hPa)
  measurement calculation
189.13 1.01 1.002
202.55 2.01 2.036
210.68 3.01 3.024
221.72 5.02 4.989
229.73 7.02 7.007
238.33 9.97 9.889
257.8 20.03 20.147

The regression of the results leads with a mean deviation of 1.60% to the following equation:

ln(p/hPa) = 14.0032 - 3524.55/(62.16 + t/°C)

At a pressure of about 20 hPa, an unstable temperature was observed. Caused by the limited stability and a thermal change of the test substance a definite vapour pressure could not be determined.

Therefore the Normal Boiling Temperature cannot be determined. The test item is liquid in the temperature range used for the vapour pressure measurements.

Conclusions:
The boiling point of the test substance could not be determined, due to a limited stability and a thermal change.
Executive summary:

No boiling could be determined by the dynamic vapor pressure measurement method according to OECD 103 since the substance shows a limited stability and a thermal change during heating.

Description of key information

The boiling point could not be determined.
