HPLC method

Details on study design: HPLC method:
EQUIPMENT
- Apparatus:Agilent Technologies 1100, incorporating workstation and autosampler
- Type: variable wavelength (VW)
- Type, material and dimension of analytical (guard) column: Xselect HSS cyano 5μ (150 x 4.6 mm id)

MOBILE PHASES
- Type: methanol:water (55:45 v/v)
- pH: 7.0
- Solutes for dissolving test and reference substances: Test item (0.0102 g) was diluted to 200 mL with methanol:3% acetic acid (60:40 v/v) to give a concentration of 51 mg/L. Solutions of reference standards were prepared in methanol.

DETERMINATION OF DEAD TIME
- Method: by means of homologous series / by inert substances which are not retained by the column: The dead time was determined by measuring the retention time of formamide (purity 99.6%) of a 602 mg/L solution in methanol:water (55:45 v/v).

REFERENCE SUBSTANCES
- Identity: Acetanilide, Atrazine, Triadimenol, Linuron, Naphthalene, Endosulfan-diol, Fenthion, a-Endosulfan, Phenanthrene, Diclofop-methyl, DDT
