First-aid measures

4.1 After contact with skin              

Remove clothing              

Wash with plenty of soap and water.              

Seek medical attention.              

             

4.2 After contact with eye              

Flush eyes thoroughly with water.              

Seek medical attention.              

             

4.3 After inhalation              

Move affected person to fresh air.              

Seek medical attention.              

             

4.4 After ingestion              

Drink a quart of water. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person.              

Seek medical attention.              

Fire-fighting measures

5.1 Suitable extinguishing media:                     

Dry sand, graphite powder, dry sodium chloride based extinguishers, G-1 or Met-L-X powder                     

                    

5.2 Unsuitable extinguishing media                     

Water, Foam, CO2                     

                    

5.3 Exposure hazards

5.4 Protective equipment for fire-fighters                     

Use self-contained breathing apparatus.

6.1 Personal precautions

                    

Do not inhale dust.              Avoid contact with skin, eyes and clothing.              

                           

6.2 Environmental precautions                            

Dispose of material in accordance with all Federal, state and local air- and waterpollution                              

and solid waste regulations.                            

                           

6.3 Methods for cleaning up/taking up                            

Vacuum or sweep all spilled material without creating dust.                            

Place in closed plastic bags for disposal and treat material as described in 6.2 and 13.                            

Handling and storage

7.1 Advice on safe handling                            

Avoid dust formation. Avoid contact with heat, sparks and flames.                            

Wear gloves, long sleeved shirt and safety glasses. Use with adequate ventilation and suitable                            

particle filter mask. Do not eat, drink or smoke at the workplace.                            

                           

7.2 Requirements for storage rooms and vessels                            

Store in well ventilated dry area away from incompatible substances.                            

Do not store in open inadequate mislabled packaging.                            

Dusts or fumes may form explosive mixtures in air.
