Additional information

In accordance with column 2 of REACH Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006, Annex VII, the water solubility study does not need to be conducted as 4-chloro-benzotrichloride is hydrolytically unstable at pH 4, 7 and 9 (half-life less than 12 hours). Indeed, 4-chlorobenzotrichloride apparent half-life is about 1.7 min at pH 7 and 25 °C tested in a not buffered media. Assuming this situation as "worst case" scenario regarding the availability of nucleophiles in environmental conditions, 4-chloro-benzotrichloride should be considered as quicklly hydrolyzed and therefore water solubility should not be tested.
