Accidental release measures

· Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures

-Use respiratory protective device against the effects of fumes/dust/aerosol.

-Wear protective equipment. Keep unprotected persons away.

-Keep away from ignition sources.

· Environmental precautions : Do not allow to enter sewers/ surface or ground water.

· Methods and material for containment and cleaning up:

-Absorb with liquid-binding material (sand, diatomite, acid binders, universal binders, sawdust).

-Dispose contaminated material as waste according to disposal considerations.

-Ensure adequate ventilation.

· Reference to other sections : Contain bigger quantities and pump into suitable receptacle.

Handling and storage

· Handling:

· Precautions for safe handling

-Ensure good interior ventilation, especially at floor level. (Fumes are heavier than air).

-Open and handle receptacle with care.

-Prevent formation of aerosols.

· Information about fire - and explosion protection:

-Keep ignition sources away - Do not smoke.

-Protect against electrostatic charges.

· Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities

· Storage:

· Requirements to be met by storerooms and receptacles:

-Store only in the original receptacle.

-Provide solvent resistant, sealed floor.

· Information about storage in one common storage facility:

-Do not store together with strong acids, alkalines and oxidation agents

· Further information about storage conditions:

-Store in cool, dry conditions in well sealed receptacles.

-Store receptacle in a well ventilated area.

-Protect from exposure to the light.

-Avoid contact with air / oxygen (formation of peroxide).

· Recommended storage temperature-: At 15 °C to 25 °C
