Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Key result
Type:
log Pow
Partition coefficient:
1.5
Temp.:
20 °C
Remarks on result:
other: calculated value (EPI suite)
Remarks:
due to high volatility of the substance, the calculated value (EPI suite) of log Pow in the study report is considered more reliable in terms of further assessment than the measured results.
Type:
log Pow
Partition coefficient:
> 1.6
Temp.:
23 °C
pH:
9
Remarks on result:
not determinable
Remarks:
due to high volatility of the substance, all measurements of D-Chloroform in the aqueous phase were below the detection limit of the analytical system.
Details on results:
Partition coefficients of the shake flask method at pH 9:
Experiment No.:
1A) Pow >38.0, log Pow >1.58
1B) Pow >39.9, log Pow >1.60
2A) Pow >20.5, log Pow >1.31
2B) Pow >20.4, log Pow >1.31
3A) Pow >11.2, log Pow >1.05
3B) Pow >10.6, log Pow >1.02

The partition coefficient showed a tendency within the measurement series. This tendency was caused because the concentration of the test item in water was in all tests below the detection limit. Following a conservative approach the highest value was given as result. This value is also in good accordance with the value obtained via EpiSuite (log Pow = 1.5).
