Description of key information

Biodegradable but not readily biodegradable (according to OECD criteria).

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

Biodegradation tests were performed according to OECD guideline 301 B (CO2 evolution test) [Rohm & Haas, 2003 and BASF SE, 2009]. The tests resulted in a degradation of 50 -55 % and 80 -90 %, respectively. Since the required degradation degree was not reached within the 10 - day window the substance was not readily biodegradable under the conditions of this tests.
